Description: Grouting a large tiled surface area is time consuming and because the task is mostly done while bending or kneeling, it is rather taxing on the body.

This grout applicator comprises an extended shaft that has a trigger handle assembly at the top and grout chamber at the opposite end. The grout chamber contains an electric-powered auger that extrudes grout supplied from an external hopper into a dispense nozzle.

The nozzle comprises two components, a rigid backing plate that is fixed to the dispense opening of the chamber and contains a central slot opening and a protruding guide, which fits in the gap between tiles. The second nozzle component is a pliable rubber attachment configured with a triangular chamber that tapers towards a sloped channel at the rear end of the attachment.

During use, the nozzle guide is placed in the tile gap and the auger activated causing grout to extrude though the backing plate into the triangular chamber of the attachment. As the nozzle is pushed along the groove, the grout accelerates rearward and is forced along the sloped channel into the tile gap. The smooth face of the rubber attachment forms a close seal with the surface of the tile preventing grout from oozing out the sides, while simultaneously wiping the tile surface clean of excess grout.
