Description:
Household ice-cubes is usually formed in flat rectangular trays with separate chambers that are filled with water and then placed in a freezer form solid ice cubes. However, placing the tray filled to the brim with water inside a freezer often results in spillage and thus many people prefer purchasing retailed ice cubes sold in plastic bags.
Even retailed ice cubes have drawbacks since the entire bag needs to be opened in order to remove a single ice-cube, which may be stuck to other making it difficult to separate.
This retailers ice cube tray comprises a flexible panel of plastic preformed with separate tapered compartments that can be pre-filled with water by the retailer and then sealed with a plastic film. The tray is then rolled up and held by end caps in a cylindrical shape that is easy to transport in crates and displayed upright in a retailer's display fridge.
Once purchased, a person may remove the cap and stow the tray flat inside a household freezer and left to form ice cubes. The tray is divided into columns or strips that can be separated from the tray and ice cubes removed once the cover film is peeled away. The proposed retailers ice tray provides a convenient means to produce ice cubes without the mess or trying to pry individual ice cubes away from a solid mass.
